The year, 1970. The car, a Dodge Superbee. The place, Detroit. It was
born for three things, to kick ASS, to intimidate the competition, and
to put a smile on your face as heads turned when you drove by! And I
love all three. The Superbee is based on the Coronet body style, the
same way the Roadrunner was based on the Satellite body style. The two
were built as low cost, high performance muscle cars. Dodge had the
"Scat Pack", and the Superbee would get to carry the trademark "Bee".
Only made four years, two of them as a Superbee Option ( in 1968, and
1971 ). The Superbee came with three engines, standard with a 383 H.P.
4-bbl.( fast ), and optional 440 Six-Pack ( faster ), and the 426 Hemi
2x4-bbl. ( melt the tires )! They all came with 11 inch brakes, and
heavy duty suspension.
This Superbee is one of only 352 white Bee's made in 1970. Add to
that the unusual options, and you make it even more special. The
Ramcharger Hood, twin scoops with a fresh air box under the hood. It
was opened and closed by a handle under the dash. The "Street Sleeper"
package, an auto trans, column shift, and bench seats. This was lighter
than the bucket seats and floor shifter, and it looked a little less
intimidating.
   The engine, a 383 H.P. 4-bbl. has 9.50 compression pistons, 335
horsepower ( stock ), and Holly carburetor. Add one Direct Connection
3/4 race cam, just listen to that rumble. And B.F. Goodrich T/A's,
(70's up front, and 50's in the rear ) on American Racing Torque
Thrust-D's. Factory duel pipes and mufflers capped with chrome tips.
It's still so loud if you show off, the cops know right where you are!
Yes, it will lay rubber for a bock, I've done it. But the best thing is
seeing guys drool when you drive by.

I want to thank ADR for making this model. It will let me, and
everyone else drive the car the way you could never really drive it!
Thanks also to Beast, for helping me get in touch with ADR, and his
work at DTD. Have fun kick'en ass!

Thats enough for Wild Bill. Now is my turn :P i just want to add that
it's been a pleasure to model this excellent piece of american muscle
car history, i have to thank a LOT to Wild Bill for letting me know
his car and sent me all the pics and info i needed to make the most
accurate model possible. Actually there're a couple of details missing:
the fuel tank and the Ramcharger air box under the hood. The reason:
more than 5900 polygons, but the most important: the 100 texture limit.
I didn't knew about this limit, maybe i'm wrong and it was something
else, but when i added the fuel tank the car just didn't work, i got an
error, something like "not enough pixelmap slots available". Then I
deleted the texture of the fuel tank and it worked fine.
And for last, but not least, this is, of course, dedicated to Wild
Bill and all the Mopar fans all over the world.
